(A Target) Emphasis - Making an element of the design stand out, creating attraction to that element. (Red arrow in black arrows) Balance - Making sure the main elements in the piece of art are spread out and even. (Starry Night) Proportion/Scale - Making everthing relative to each other to create a 3d scene. (3d Skyline) Harmony - Combining two or more colors or textures to create smooth design. (Maroon fading to red) Rhythm/Movement - Actions in a piece to create a visual effect. (Ripples in water) Elements of DesignLine - Something connecting two points. (An outline of a shape)
Shape - Lines connecting to create a contained space. (Square) Form - Creating a 3d image through shapes (Sphere or Cylinder) Color - Bringing an image to life through different hues (Neon logo) Texture - Something creating a sense of touch in an image. (Tree bark) Space - Created by shapes and inclosed areas. (Area of a triangle) Value - Lightness or darkness of a color. (Dark red and bright red)
